I have been going here for years ! I can't believe I have not written a review for them until now.
Consistently good food, reasonable prices, partially open kitchen so you can watch the Wok masters at work.
Friendly staff, family owned.
My favorites, are the chicken wings, any of their Egg Foo Yung, and the Hunan or Szechuan chicken or pork.
Everything I have had is good. -

I am happy to be able to update my review from 1 star to 3. Chan's has had some improvements, and is either under different management or there are new staff at the front. The quality of the food has improved, though the tastes are still a bit bland and the portions small, compared to other local restaurants. Hopefully they'll keep improving, but they are still losing to the competition.

First experience here was very good.
The moo goo gai Pan was loaded with fresh vegetables.
The combination platter prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. -

Sorry, but I can't distinguish this Chinese restaurant from the dozens of other Chinese Restaurant in the area. They all are the same. They all serve the same American/Chinese dishes: Sweet and Sour Chickeen, Fried rice, cream wontons, spicy beef, chow mein, and lo-mein. It's not that it's bad food. It's just indistinguishable from all the other Chinese places around town. With that being said, I always order the beef brocoli with lo-mein. Greasy as all hell, but hits the spot everytime.

Chan's is my go-to Chinese restaurant simply because of proximity and consistency. That doesn't mean the food is amazing or anything, but it's consistently.... decent.
Like McDonald's. It's not FANTASTIC, but you know what you're in for EVERY....SINGLE.....TIME.
It's very reasonably priced, hot, fresh and filling. Tonight I had a General Tso's combo meal and the missus had a Sesame Chicken combo meal. It was the same thing plus sesame seeds. None of it was packed with flavor, but I wasn't hungry after eating it. So that's something.
If you want quality, Weng's in Farmington is easily the best in the south metro. Nha Sang in Burnville is also pretty awesome. If you live in the Cedar and Dodd area, and you're in the mood for (American) Chinese, then Chan's is definitely a viable option on the fly.
It's certainly better than House of Wing (shudder).
